This is my first subbing project.
The reason why I chose this drama is because I like the lead actor, Takahashi Mitsuomi. I saw him in Umechan Sensei and love his character there. In Umechan Sensei, he played Matsuoka Toshio, an awkward but talented medical student. I shipped Matsuoka-Umechan couple all the way but then the writer disappointed me by sending Matsuoka away to the US.
In this drama, Takahashi plays Yuu, a good husband of Mashita Konomi. Mashita Konomi (played by Taira Airi) is a photographer and a “tarento” who was popular in the 1980s as a child star. After 2 years of marriage, she got pregnant, but her baby then died at 23 weeks of pregnancy. When she got pregnant again, she was diagnosed as having anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome (APS). APS is an illness that can cause blood clots as well as pregnancy-related complications such as miscarriage and stillbirth. With the support of people around her, she tried to save the life of her second baby.
